Santa Fe Style Custom "51" made by Ralph Prather for myself
Permalink Closed

Here is a 1946, 2nd quarter Parker 51 that I sent to Ralph Prather for him to perform his magic on. The only thing I asked him for was to add Turquoise to my pen. It has; A Custom Clutch Ring, Stainless Steel, Turquoise, All Metal Filler Unit, Turquoise Cabachon, Cleaned and Polished, Hammered Sterling Silver Cap, with Turquoise Cabachon.

Man Mike, you know how to get me where I live. I love 51's almost as much as I love my sterling & turquoise. Every time I see your pen I'm reminded how much I want it for my own. It would be 'my precious'...lol.

Question, how did he do the stone in the clutch ring? Is it a stone that was set in adhesive, enamel paint or??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like Turquoise from the Sleeping Beauty mine.
