This is one of the two last pens I have to sell. The going price is around $1k but I am looking for $826.37 plus shipping.

Here is the description from the MB website as I could do no better.

please note that this is one of the smaller total numbers for a writer's series.


Dark green marbled lacquer punctuated with platinum-plated fittings. These are the style features of the new Writers Edition in honour of the distinguished Irish free thinker George Bernard Shaw. This pen is inspired by Shaws best-known character from his play Pygmalion: Eliza Doolittle. Just as Eliza, a poor flower girl, is brought up to be an aristocratic lady, so the fine platinum of the pen is replaced more and more towards the cap by the opulent dark green of the precious resin.

Launch: 2008
Limitation:
16,000 fountain pens
18,000 ballpoint pens
4,000 sets comprising fountain pen, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil


Rhodium-plated 18 K gold nib with flower engraving
Body in dark green marbled luxury resin with platinum-plated fittings
Montblanc emblem made of ivory-coloured antique resin

I see that FPH is undercutting my price so much as to be useless for me to even hope to sell this.

Yes it goes to show you that the MB lovers are talking out their asses when they say that the value of a MB pen remains forever.

This pen lost half it's 'value' in less than 2 years.

I think FPH was selling them new for $750.00 not that long ago.

Just checked and they are selling the pen for $825.  So my offering isn't that far off base.
