52 1/2 rhr waterman with gold bands top and bottom of cap no ring
Permalink Closed

I've been looking at a described by owner as a 52 1/2 rhr with no ring on top of the cap and gold bands both at the top and bottom of the cap.  Not real familiar with waterman yet, but all I've seen in the rhr 52 1/2 had a ring at the top and only one gold band at the bottom of the cap worth around $50.  Does anyone know about this pen I described and is it worth much more than the more common 50 dollar one?...... and I know, I need to get a good waterman book.  tia to anyone.

A picture would really help out a lot. I cant bring to mind one with cap bands on the top and bottom of the cap. The chain ring at the top is an easy replacement.

Hey Brian.  Didn't see your post.  Here's a pic of the waterman 52 1/2 rrhr with the gold cap on the top.  I have only seen 2 in the last 5 months after countless hours on ebay and other sites and own both of them.  DWL may have remembered I asked him about one of them some time ago as I wasn't then much famaliar with waterman at the time.

Got both pretty reasonable as one was on a "UK only" ebay site where it wasn't listed on the US ebay and the other no one paid much attention to.  You don't see many of these with the gold cap, or at least I haven't.  I see countless numbers of the plain cap rrhr's that one can get fairly cheap.  Hope I can get this picture deal to work this time.
