A Flock of Sheaffers - Carmine Red Ones

Just returned two nice Carmine Red Sheaffers to my pen cabinet after being in my rotation for a few months so I thought I'd snap a quick photo of them along with their cousins:

Enjoy looking.

They are gorgeous.

But isn't the fifth from left a roseglow?? It looks darker...

I think you may be right. Still one helluva respectful spread he's got there.

Nice! But what kind of clip does it have? Diamond shape like Omas?? A replacement?

It's a Canadian OS Lifetime Balance with a WASP clip and a juicy upturned two-tone nib. It was given to me along with two other pens by a friend in Vancouver who'd had it in a desk drawer for twenty-plus years since his father died (it was his father's pen). I wish I could pin down the year it was made, but "1940s" is as close as I've been able to come.

Now THATS a sweet uncommon variant you dont see very often at all. GL on the dating bit. But I think 40's is as close as your going to get.

Impressive collection. Does the Balance that's fifth from the right have a fishscale cap band?
