I NEED your input. Working on a book about Wearevers
Permalink Closed

I have been working on a book about David Kahn Inc./Wearever. I have the ear of Al Kahn Great grandson of Founder David Kahn and (from what i understand) himself president back in the 1960's.

My question for you is:

If you could ask Mr Kahn anything about the company or pens what would it be?

I've already got a monster big questionaire ready for him. I'm just wondering if anyone can come up with 'new' material I haven't covered yet.

Thanks in advance
Dennis

Just curious; did Wearever produce wooden case pencils, and how were their mechanical pencils?

I haven't found any mention or evidence of wooden pencils. Their mechanical pencils are good quality for the most part. But like any other manufacturer, they had varying levels of good through out their model lines.

Why didn't Mr. Kahn make more "bang for the buck" pens like the Pacemaker? The Pacemaker, with it's Duofold-esque good looks and gold nib, might have been the best value of any fountain pen available at the time.

Dennis,

Are you still working on this book? If you don't write it, who will?

Jon
