Need Copies of Parker Catalogs--Parker 45s
Permalink Closed

I am trying to assemble a chronology of the Parker 45--the various models and trim levels from the introduction in 1960 through the end of production in 2006.  If you have catalogs from that period and are willing to provide, either free or for a reasonable fee, copies of the Parker 45 pages, I would be most appreciative.

Talk to PeteWK one of our modeators. He's the catalog master & I'll be stuned if he doesn't have at least a couple of them.

Many of the Catalogs I have are scanned from a friend and others belong to myself. When I buy them its usually because I have an interest in the model. And I never really paid all that much attention to the Parker 45. What have you found on the web?

There is a nice summary of the model on Richard Binder's web site, and also on ParkerPens.net.  These are very good high-level overviews of the major variations.  I'd like to drill down and get a sense of the when the different versions appeared in the model line as well as some sense of changes in construction.  I thought by looking at the year-to-year changes in the catalogs I'd be able to reconstruct some of the history.

You might also try contacting Parker directly. Ask if they have any old catalogs they would pass along? Who knows they may be able to help.

Dennis, I have an email in to Dave Ruderman, the guy who managers Parker's archives, which are now located in the UK (Newhaven, if I recall correctly). No anwer yet, but I am optimistic.

I just picked a small 2004 Parker catalog but no 45s.  What year did they stop making this model?

Pete, please have a look at http://www.parkerpens.net/. You can download two Parker Catalogs, and according to that information, the 45 was still in production in 2005.

Cheers,

Reactionary

I'll check it out.  I have a flier type catalog I'll post here as well but it doesn't have any 45s on board.
